Sandra Louise Rolla, 65, Fredericksburg, VA entered into eternal rest on January 24th after bravely battling several health challenges over the past year. Her last few months were spent at Homeland Center in Harrisburg, PA where she received exceptional care and was in close proximity to family.
The daughter of the late Roy and Mavis Eppard, Sandra grew up in Goodman, Missouri, attended Crowder College, and then later Missouri Southern State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology.
She then moved to Washington, DC to begin a 35+ year career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, rising to become a Supervising Information Technology Specialist. A talented programmer who pioneered automation at the FBI, her contributions to protecting national security were immeasurable. She gained the respect and admiration of many at the Bureau for her kind disposition and conscientious work ethic.
Sandra was a deeply compassionate, hard-working, and generous woman, always willing to help anyone in need. She always made you feel welcome and never let you leave her house without knowing you were always welcome back. She put the needs of everyone else before herself.
Sandra is survived by her two daughters, Amanda and Kimberly, her brother Roy Karl Eppard, and her niece Emma Gonzalez. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Gary, and an infant daughter, Ashley.
