Winifred L. Watkins, 82, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on September 12, 2025, at her home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She was born on January 5, 1943, to Edward Stambaugh and Laura Schlosser, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Winifred will forever be remembered for her love of her family, the most important aspect of her life. She worked as a custodian for Central Dauphin School District for 30 years.
Winifred is preceded in death by her husband James D. Watkins and brothers Thomas Stambaugh, Jack Stambaugh, and Edward Stambaugh, Jr. She is survived by her sister Suzanne Donmoyer, husband Carl, sons Terry L. Schriner, wife Susan, Randy L. Schriner, and Michael A. Schriner, wife Robin, grandchildren Jenna Pelliser, husband George, Ashley Zimmer, husband Andrew, Kyle Schriner, wife Brianna, Joshua Schriner, wife Danielle, Nicholas Schriner, wife Rachel, Jeremy Schriner, wife Carrie, Kody Schriner, wife Megan, and Katy Schriner, partner Melanie, as well as sixteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00AM, Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pennsylvania.
