Kathaleen L. Herbein (Carter), 84, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 23, 2025, at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, Duncansville, Pennsylvania.

Born on December 4, 1940, in Northampton, PA, Kathaleen was the daughter of Albert Carter and Mildred Dorothy (Townsend). A graduate of Pottsville High School, class of 1959, she spent her life devoted to her family and home, working many years as a dedicated homemaker. Kathaleen also had a hobby of helping less-fortunate people, through charity, and was a contact for the Missing Children’s Network. She was featured in the magazine, Family Circle.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jay T. Herbein, sons, Michael T. Herbein and his wife, Marcie, Scott Herbein, wife Melissa, and Keith Herbein, wife Jackie, brother Joseph Guenther, wife Joan, ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her granddaughter Abigail Lillian Herbein.

Kathaleen will be remembered for her warmth, her deep commitment to her family, and the love she poured into her home and those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
