David Lee Holmes, 76, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, at Middletown Home, Middletown, Pennsylvania. He was born on February 3, 1949, in Keyser, West Virginia, to Joseph Earl Holmes and Nancy Jane (Blackburn).
David retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service; he was severely wounded in Vietnam, suffering multiple injuries from an explosion. After retirement from the armed forces, David entered into a career of armed security in Washington, DC.
David is survived by his sons, Phillip K. Holmes, wife Annarosa Holmes, Brian Holmes, and David L. Holmes, Jr., daughter Ashley Purcell, brother Kenneth See, and grandchildren, Savanna Holmes, Hayley Cahill, Charlee Holmes.
Services will be private at the discretion of the family.
