Obituary of John W. Harle

John "Jack" W. Harle, born February 20, 1928 in Harrisburg, Pa. At age 88 he went home to our Lord on December, 29th, 2016 while at Golden Living (Blue Ridge) Facility. He was raised and lived in Harrisburg, Pa all 88 years. John graduated from Bishop McDevitt formerly, Catholic High in 1945. He was retired many years ago from "The Telegraph Press" company where he worked as a Pressman for 30 some years. He also worked for several years after retirement at a satellite United States Post Office and a 7ELEVEN store selling Lotto Tickets. John loved working with the public and enjoyed talking and being with people. He met his wife Mona Sturgeon, at "The Telegraph Press" workplace. She also worked there some 30 years. Both his father and her father also worked there, printing was in both families blood! In early years his hobbies were; bowling and golf. He belonged to the "300 Club" and "700 Club" in bowling. He was an avid football fan he followed Bishop McDevitt's team games and championships throughout the years. At the National level his first love was the Baltimore Colts, but when they moved he then became a dedicated Detroit Lyons fan! He is survived by his wife Ramona "Mona" D. Harle, 87 years old. They were married for 66 years. She also was born and raised in Harrisburg, PA. Two surviving daughters, Suzanne Harle George, husband David J. George living in Maryland, no children. Sandy LemMon Guigear twice widowed living in Michigan and three grandchildren. Steven LemMon, wife Lisa and two great grandchildren Alex and Grace LemMon also living in Michigan! Matthew LemMon, wife Angie and three great grandchildren, Cassie LemMon Towner, Jessie LemMon Glockley, and Raymond LemMon, all living in Pennsylvania! Brian LemMon, wife Laura and two great grandchildren Alyssa and Connor LemMon living in Michigan! Also surviving siblings, brother Joe Harle and sister Mary Lou Swartz living in Virginia. A memorial service will be held sometime in the spring, 2017. Please check back at this website for future details.
