Obituary of Marcia P. Euker
Marcia Porter Euker came into this life on June 6, 1931 and entered into Eternal Life on Feb 29, 2020.
She was the daughter of Leo A. Porter, of Massachusetts, noted PA. Chief Bridge Engineer and Martha
Witwer Porter of Illinois. She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Suzanne Porter McHale; her
husband of 46 years, Bernard A. Euker, Jr. (d. 1998), her Son-in-law Judge Donald F. Howell, her Grandson
Steven R. Kann and her fiancé, Raymond P. Palonis of Pittsburgh. She retired as a Special Correspondent
with Penna Blue Shield (Highmark) after 30 years of service. She was a lifelong resident of Harrisburg, a
graduate of Harrisburg Catholic High School, class of 1949 and earned an Associate Degree in Fine Art
from Mount Aloysius Junior College, Class of 1952. She served as Junior and Senior Delegates for the
school to the NFCCS (National Federation of Catholic College Students), she served as a member of the

their choir, their soup kitchen and was active in the Boy Scout and Girl Scout programs of the church. As
the family genealogist, she documented their history, verifying the Euker family's original name was
(Thomas) Mullany from Huntingdon, Pa. originally from Ireland. Historical records of the Witwer family
(Penna. 1727) and the Porter family (Mass.1635) were verified and now trace back that her family lived
in Pennsylvania and the United States of America for hundreds of years. She is survived by her 4 sons:
