Obituary of Mary Beth Schropp

Mary Beth Schropp, 93, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully at the Harrisburg Hospital on Sunday, December 10, 2017. Mary Beth was born on October 10, 1924 in Hazleton, PA. She was the daughter of the late John R. and Bess A. (Boyle) Moye. Mary Beth was a Registered Nurse and retired from Villa Teresa Nursing Home. She was a devout member of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Church, Harrisburg, PA. Mary Beth was predeceased by her husband, James J. Schropp, son James R. Schropp, sisters Jacqueline Stine and Jane Shurig and brother John C. Moye. Surviving are her children Timothy J. Schropp (Sandy), Ann Marie Lapkowicz (Thomas), Jane Wiles (Jeffrey) and Marybeth Garubba (Alan). She is also survived by grandchildren Patrick Schropp (Jennifer), Thomas, John Paul, Mark (Anna), Joseph, Matthew, Mary and Anna Lapkowicz, Hayley Eager (Thomas), Julian and Beck Wiles, and Kaley, Celia and Olivia Garubba and great-grandchildren Anthony and Scarlett Eager. A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Church from 9 to 11am. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am. .Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg.
