Obituary of Mary J. Sebastian

Mary J. Sebastian of Harrisburg passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, November 18, 2017. She was 91. She was born in Hazleton, PA on June 7, 1926. She was the youngest of twelve children born to the late Alexander and Anna Perkosky, and had surpassed in age all of her siblings. She married her late husband, James N. Sebastian of Locust Gap, PA, in 1950. Together they had three children, Mark, Marianne, and James. She is survived by her son Mark, daughter Marianne, daughter-in-law Janet, and her two grandchildren, Lisa and Matthew. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose memory we will forever treasure in our hearts. We are blessed to have had her in our lives all these years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Church on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 10:00 am, where she has been a member for the past 57 years. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:00 am at the church. Burial will be at 2:00 pm, at Transfiguration Cemetery in Hazleton, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Margaret Mary's Alacoque Capital Campaign Fund, 2800 Paxton Church Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
