Obituary of Mary P. Fornwald

Mary (Pence) Fornwald, 90, of Harrisburg, Pa passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 in Colonial Park Care Center. Born in Middletown, PA on December 25, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Christopher A. Pence and Dorothy (Smith) Pence. Mary is survived by her husband of 67 years, James J. Fornwald; daughters Pamela A. (Charles) Garnett of Dallas PA and Paula L. (Thomas) Kauffman of Mechanicsburg, PA and sons James A. (Joan) Fornwald of Audubon, PA and Jeffery J. Fornwald of Harrisburg; brother Dr. George A. (Doris) Pence of Selinsgrove, PA; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren,1 great great grandchild. She was a member of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque Church, Susquehanna Township Golden Age Club, Lower Paxton Township Golden Agers, and Harrisburg Garden Club. She enjoyed reading, bowling, sewing and taking bus tours. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 11AM at Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque Church. Viewing will be from 10AM-11AM on Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Mary's name to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque Church.
