Obituary of Blanche E. Gaudaen

Blanche E. Gaudaen, 95, passed away at Messiah Lifeways on Wednesday, January 25, 2017. She was born on May 7, 1921 in Mt. Clemens MI and was the daughter to Camille and Marie (Assez) Thery. She was raised in Detroit MI and later resided in Pittsburgh, PA. In retirement she lived in South Carolina. She was a book keeper in the real estate business. She was a woman of grace with a feisty spirit and loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years George J. Gaudaen. Surviving are her children, sons Michael L. Gaudaen and wife Linda, Larry G. Gaudaen and wife Jan, daughter Jeanne A. (Gaudaen) and husband Bruce McClintick, grandchildren; Michael Jr., Faith, Colleen and husband Todd, Sean and wife Karyn, Steven and wife Maggie and James, great grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah, Liam, Mara Grace, Adelynn, and Brantley. She is also preceded in death by a grandson Christopher and a brother Lucien. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 12 to 1:00 P.M. at the Messiah Village Chapel. A memorial mass will begin at 1:00 P.M., with Monsignor William King of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery beside her husband. The family wishes to thank the staff at Laurel and Asper Units at Messiah Lifeways for all their love and care of mom.
