Obituary of Wannie E. Griffin

Wannie (Wayne) Eugene Griffin age, 68, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the Harrisburg Hospital. Wayne was born on August 3, 1951 in Glen Rogers, West Virginia and was a son to the late Robert Griffin Sr. and Elizabeth (Belcher) Griffin-Clark. Wayne served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He retired as a crane operator from the Naval Support Activity in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. He was a pastor, a minister and bible study teacher for the Deliverance Churches of God in the Holy Ghost in Harrisburg, PA. and Warrenton, VA. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Donna M. (Clark) Griffin; daughters, Angel P. Bazemore, Genesis B. Griffin, Waneia E. Griffin; son, Israel E. Griffin, brothers, Robert Griffin Jr., William Griffin, sisters, Eloise Williams, Margaret Jackson, Annie James, Patricia Griffin, Christine Lane, grandchildren, Dyamond Bazemore, Jayda Bazemore, Amyra Griffin, Isaiah Griffin, Xiomara Griffin, Ximena Griffin, Israel Griffin Jr. and Orlando Rodriguez. In addition to his parents, Wayne is predeceased by brothers, Tommy and Joseph Griffin and sister Tracy Griffin. A viewing will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Dailey Funeral Home, 650 S. 28 th St. Harrisburg, PA. 17103. A funeral service will immediately follow the viewing at 11:30 a.m. at the Dailey Funeral Home. Burial with full Military Honors will be held at Indiantown Gap at 2:30 p.m., Friday following the service. Memorial donation in memory of Wayne may be made to his church at 2404 Columbia Ave. Harrisburg, PA. 17109.
