Obituary of John R. Morris

John R. "Bob" Morris, 71, of Lower Paxton, passed away Monday, October 20th. He was surrounded by family at Harrisburg Hospital. Bob was born in Harrisburg, son of the late Catherine (Zugay) and Howard Morris. He was of the Catholic Faith and worked most of his life as a countertop fabricator for Krehling Industries. Bob was the husband of Patricia (Miller) Morris. He was a life-long Notre Dame Football fan. He loved the New York Yankees, Doo-wop music, and his family. He loved spending time with his nephew, Billy. John is survived by 1 son, John Morris Jr. and his wife Robin, 3 daughters: Ronica Pouncy, Debra Horvat, and Stephanie Smeriglio, 2 son-in-laws: Phillip Horvat and Raymond Smeriglio, 1 brother: Emil Morris and his wife Georgianna, 6 Grandchildren: Jonathan, Alyssa, Justin, Jessica, Raymond, Noah, and preceded in death by 1 grandson, Tyler. He had many nieces and nephews, and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers, 2 sisters, and 1 great grandchild. A graveside memorial service will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg, PA, at 10:00 am Monday October 27th, with Deacon Joseph Wrabel officiating.
