Obituary of George Furjanic

George Furjanic, 96, of Homeland Center in Harrisburg, passed away on September 10, 2020 at UPMC Community Hospital. He was born on March 4, 1924 and was the son of the late Thomas C. and Barbara Furjanic. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church and a proud veteran of the United States Army who served in WWII. An avid fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, he loved to play bingo and work on jigsaw puzzles. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Violet and his son George, Jr. He is survived by his daughter-in-law Susan Furjanic (wife of the late George, Jr.), his aughter Carol (and husband Roger), his son John (and wife Jennifer) and his son Paul (and wife Lisa); nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 from 10 to 11 AM at Dailey Funeral Home 650 S. 28th Street Harrisburg, PA. 17103. Graveside service will be held at 11:30 A.M. at Resurrection Cemetery 116 S. Oak Grove Road, West Hannover Township Harrisburg, PA. Masks and social distancing will be appreciated.
