Obituary of Caroline P. LaSlavic

Caroline Patricia LaSlavic, 94, of Harrisburg, died peacefully on the 21st of October at the Homeland Care Facility with family at her side. Patty was the beloved wife for 62 years of the late Joseph L. LaSlavic, and was also preceded in death by her ten siblings from the Mueller family of Bellevue Pennsylvania (William Mueller, Mary McNally, Robert Mueller, Jane Gabig, Donald Mueller, Eleanor Yourison, Doris Johnston, Joseph Mueller, Margaret Hayes and Richard Mueller). She will be truly missed by her children, Kevin (Patty) LaSlavic of Greensburg PA, David (Nancy) LaSlavic of Phoenix AZ, and Julie (Jeff) Hess of Harrisburg; her 9 grandchildren Stephanie, Nicole, Stephen, Michelle, Kenny, Patrick, Emily, Kelly, and Kevin; 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Patty was an extraordinary homemaker and a lady of many talents to include music (piano), singing (church choir), artist (painter), cook, baker, seamstress, and generally a craft-oriented person. She enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles and the Steelers. But most notably, was her exceptional dedication to family, faith and friends, and the many outstanding life examples she set on a daily basis. Her dedication to family, meticulous nature, calm and friendly demeanor, and pleasant personality will be missed by all. Friends will be received from 9 to 10am at the Cathedral of Saint Patrick 212 State St, Harrisburg, PA 17101 on Monday, October 28, 2019 Mass will follow at 10:00am.
