Obituary of Ruth A. O'Hara

Ruth A. O’Hara 86, of Lower Paxton Twp., passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born on October 22, 1934 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She was a daughter to the late George and Helen (Sabestinas) Krizenoskas. She was married to her loving husband of 49 years, Peter J. O’Hara who preceded her in death (2008). She was also predeceased by a son Michael (1974) and sisters Dorothy Warenko and Loraine Minnick. Ruth was a registered nurse who graduated from Temple University Nursing school. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church and was involved in various church organizations. She and Pete had traveled extensively in the US and abroad. She loved playing cards, especially with the girls from the card club. Ruth liked watching game shows and Philly sports teams on TV. Surviving are her children, Marie Allen (fiance Jack Agnew), Jeanne N. Burston and husband Jerome, Kathleen P. Brouse and husband Gary, son, Patrick O’Hara and wife Stephanie, a brother, George Krizenoskas and wife Dolores, grandchildren, Lauren Ficner (husband Brian), Brad Allen, Chase Allen, Regina Carter, Nicolle O’Hara, Evelyn and Lilian O’Hara-Short, Michael Brouse, Skyler Brouse, great grandchildren, Justin, Brielle, Mason, Adriel, Asia, Aniya, and Alexis. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Margaret Mary Church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery Harrisburg, PA.
