Elizabeth "Betsy" A. Potteiger, 76, a lifelong resident of the Harrisburg/Hershey area, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Betsy was born January 21, 1945, at the Harrisburg Polyclinic Hospital, a daughter of the late Sara E. Lego and Gerald F. Balmer. She was a widow to her late and loving husband,James "Jim" D. Potteiger Sr. She was also predeceased by her brothers Robert and Ken, and her sister Mary Lou. Betsy graduated from Hershey High school in 1963. She was a Sunday school teacher of many years at the First Alliance Church in Union Deposit, a Den Mother for Cub Scout Troop 68 in Linglestown,and she absolutely loved Penn State Football. Betsy is survived by her daughter Jamie D. Brantner and her husband Nick; her son James D. Potteiger Jr. and his wife Lori; three grandsons, David, Jason, and Jeremy; a granddaughter, Ashlyn; and her sweet great-granddaughter Bella. Funeral Services will be private for the immediate family, and Betsy will rest with her husband Jim, at the Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
