A time to be born and a time to die; Ecclesiastes 3:1 A TIME TO BE BORN Joseph Michael Schmittel, was born on Monday, September 23, 1973 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. A TIME FOR EDUCATION Joseph, who was known to most as “Boobie” by his family and friends, received his formal education in the Harrisburg School District and Graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1991. A TIME TO WORK Joseph was a hard-working individual for many years until he was unable to work due to health reasons. A TIME TO ENJOY LIFE Joseph met his wife, Tanisha, in April 2005, enjoying a night out, and has never left each other’s side. They enjoyed going to the movies. His favorite movie was Shaw Shank Redemption. They enjoyed going out to eat at their favorite restaurant, The Olive Garden, and traveling to different states for short getaways. Joseph enjoyed watching tv. He most enjoyed watching General Hospital. His favorite pass time was watching the Dallas Cowboys and eating Reese Peanut Butter Cups. Joseph accepted the Lord as his personal savior and was an active member of Temple of Deliverance Ministries Church. Pastor Ruth A. Smith was his Pastor. Joseph was always willing to give his time where needed and loved his church family. Joseph loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. A TIME TO DIE Joseph departed this life at the age of 47 years, 5 months and 21days on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Osteopathic General Hospital after a short illness. A TIME TO MOURN Joseph was preceded in death by his father, William Lyles, His Mother Valerie Schmittel (Lyles), Brothers: William Schmittel and Richard E. Schmittel Sr., He leaves to celebrate his life Daughters’: Maleika D. Tippitt, Latoyia Evans, Shaianne H. Schmittel, and Janaiyah T. Schmittel Sons’: Aaron Chism, Simeon Franklin, Jiovanni H. Watts, Grandchildren: Raymond Fred, Joselito Fred, Evi’onna Evans, Ha’Keem Evans, Nephews: Richard E Schmittel Jr. and Zuri Schmittel and Niece: Chastity M Schmittel and a host of cousins and friends.
