Maria F. Medaglia (Marsico) 89, of Harrisburg passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 surrounded byher loving family. Maria was born on August 27, 1932 in Costiglione Cosentino Italy. She was a daughter to the late Umberto Appa and Rosa Barbuscio Appa. Maria was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church of Harrisburg.
Maria was a devoted mother to her family and was the most kind and polite person anyone could ever hope to know. Maria always gave more than she received. She was preceded in death by her husband Giovanni Medaglia (2015) Surviving are daughters, Gina Speroff and husband Sonny, Mary Serpe, Lora Alexander, sons, Ernie Marsico, Vincent Marsico Jr., a brother, Vincenzo Appa, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Maria was preceded in death by brothers, Umberto Appa, Michael Appa and grandson Lance R. Harris.
Viewings will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 6 to 8 PM at the Dailey Funeral Home andfrom 10 to 11 AM.; Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Mass of ChristianBurial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Harrisburg.
