Obituary of Galen Berkebile

Galen S. “Rusty” Berkebile, 72; of Steelton passed away at home with his family by his side. He was born on February 20, 1950 in Harrisburg and was a son of the late Edward and Patricia (Sweigard) Willard. He was a Mechanic, EMT, and Firefighter with the Progress Fire Company. He was also EMS for the former Polyclinic hospital and work in the ER department. He was a Life Member of the Harrisburg Hunters and Anglers and was an avid wood working enthusiast, making many fine pieces of furniture for family and friends. Surviving is his wife, Linda L. Berkebile (Bailey), daughters, Melanie M Garrett, Stacy L. White, Stephanie Berkebile, brothers, Norman and Owen Berkebile. 10 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at the Dailey Funeral Home from 12:00 – 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Galen’s memory to the Humane Society of Harrisburg 7790 Grayson Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17111. DAILEY ​
