Charles James Runyan, 23, of Susquehanna Township, passed away January 5, 2023, at his home.

“Chase”, as he is known by those who love him, was born June 14, 1999, in Camp Hill, PA, to Judith O’Connell Runyan of Harrisburg, and Fuller Runyan of Susquehanna Township.

Chase was an I.T. professional, most recently for Essintial Enterprise Solutions, Inc. He graduated from Susquehanna Township High School, class of 2017 (founding member of the Tech Tutors aka “Hanna Geeks”), and YTI Career Institute, class of 2021.

Chase was an avid on-line gamer, having developed original games with friends. He possessed a ferocious curiosity about our world, and a quick wit, both of which were contagious to all around him.

He leaves behind to mourn his loss, along with his parents, two brothers, Joseph and Benjamin Runyan of Harrisburg; grandparents, Charles O’Connell of Susquehanna Twp., Will and Carmella Ritchie, of Fredericksburg, VA, and James and Sandy Runyan, of Riverside, PA - as well as many beloved aunts and uncles and cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandma, the late Kay Runyan of Milton, PA, and his nana, the late Nancy O’Connell, Susquehanna Twp.

A visitation will be held on January 21, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 p.m., at Dailey Funeral Home with Chaplain Kate Harrigan in the pulpit. Disposition of Chase’s ashes will be private, at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Stephen’s Episcopal School are encouraged and appreciated.
