Adeline (Barbush) Sinkovitz, 97, of Mechanicsburg passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, October 12, 2018 surrounded by her loving family and her loyal dog, Buddy. For 51 years Adeline was the devoted wife of the late Stephen F. Sinkovitz who adored her. Adeline was born on September 12, 1921, in Cosenza, Italy, a daughter to the late Marianne (D'Agostino) and Salvatore Barbush. She was a retired seamstress and member of the United Garment Workers Union. Adeline was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg, where she was a former Special Minister and Cursillista. Adeline was a loving mother who enjoyed entertaining friends and family, gardening and playing cards. She was an excellent homemaker, cook and seamstress. Adeline enjoyed going to the beach with family and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was predeceased in death by her loving daughter Janet Lyter and brothers Albert, Joseph and Anthony. She is survived by her son Stephen Sinkovitz (wife Lori) of Boiling Springs, daughters Norma (husband David Sanchez) of Mechanicsburg and Maryann (husband Leslie Deibert) of Mechanicsburg, son-in-law William Scott Lyter of Mechanicsburg; 6 grandchildren Scott Lyter, Mary Dennis, Janet Wright, Susan Serafin, Lisa Oneglia and Michael Deibert; 8 great-grandchildren Joey and Katie Serafin, Alex and Justin Wright, Elliott Oneglia, Bryson and Charlotte Dennis and Tierney Lyter; sisters Mary Minnaugh and Pauline Bronson (husband Donald) and brother Samuel Barbush (wife Judy). A viewing will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church 410 E. Simpson Street, Mechanicsburg PA on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 10:30AM-11:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Joseph Catholic Church. The Dailey Funeral Home is honored to serve the Sinkovitz family.
