Obituary of Edna Humphrey

Edna Humphrey entered eternal rest on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the age of 91 years, and 3 days. Surrounded by her son and granddaughter Tiara and great-granddaughter NaTara at home. Edna was born July 9, 1933, in Harrisburg, PA to the late Daniel and Willa Mae Humphrey. A graduate of John Harris High School. Edna retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. After retirement she raised her grandchildren. And was a foster mother for Catholic Charities. Edna also was a Door Greeter for Sam's Club. Edna was preceded in death by her daughters Carmella Humphrey and Arnetta "Vicky" Humphrey Williams. Sisters Fannie Hartwell, Mary Webb, Margaret Burston, brothers Eugene, Maurice, Charles and Walter Humphrey. She is survived by her son Brian (Natalie) Humphrey, six grandchildren, Shariff Humphrey (Judy), Tighe Humphrey, Cherie Rawlings, Tiara Humphrey, Casey Williams, Jamilla Humphrey, foster son Avery Carter, twelve great-grandchildren, Tyric Mosley, Tyara Megbaje, Tiana Arter, Malyra Phillippe Humphrey, Shamar Humphrey, Niara Cooley, Jayla Humphrey, NyAsia Cooley Humphrey, NaTara Cooley Humphrey, Jaliyah Humphrey, NaKaiyah Cooley Humphrey, Jason Banks and four great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church, 1439 Market St., Harrisburg, PA 17103.
