Obituary of Linda Diane Velazquez
Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Linda Diane Velazquez, 61, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was called home by her eternal father on the evening of August 8, 2024. Born and raised in Harrisburg, Linda spent her entire life in the community she loved, surrounded by family and friends.
Linda’s greatest joy was being a loving and devoted mother of four children and a proud grandmother of three. She lived her life with humility, always putting others before herself and finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. For many years, she devoted herself to caring for her mother, Pearl, with love and dedication. This selflessness was a true reflection of the deep bond she shared with her family.
Linda had an unwavering love for animals, especially her two dogs. She enjoyed collecting Hello Kitty items, completing word searches, and spending time with her children. Linda was always humble about her accomplishments and content to live a quiet, meaningful life surrounded by those she loved.
Linda is survived by her husband, Jorge Velazquez; her sons, David Orsinger (Laura) and Shawn Orsinger; her daughters, Rafaela Lockhart (Alex), Angelina Velazquez; her sister, Janet Haley; her brother, Thomas Orsinger (Michele); and her three grandsons, Myles, Shane, and Kamari. She is also survived by numerous extended family members, including nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws, who will all cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Edward Orsinger; her brothers, Robert, Edward, and Richard Orsinger; and her sisters, Barbara, Doris, and Brenda.
A memorial service may be held at a separate time at the discretion of the family.
