Obituary of Charles H. Troutman

Charles H. Troutman, 93 of Harrisburg passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024 with his wife by his side. Charles was born on September 10, 1931 in Lykens, PA; and was the son of the late Charles A. and Victoria E. (Sholley) Troutman. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brother, Joe and by his first wife Ruth J. (Miller) Troutman. (2005). Surviving are his wife, Charlotte A. Blair, sons, Charles H. Troutman Jr., Daniel J. Troutman and his wife Tracy, a daughter, Jayne Dolan and her husband Dan, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Charles was retired from the U.S. Army with 30 years of service having earned the rank of Seargent Major. After his retirement from the Army, he went on to work for the Governor’s office of Pennsylvania. Charles was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Harrisburg. He was also a member of the Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11:00 AM prior to mass. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
