Obituary of Bill W. Barttee

Bill Barttee was born on May 3, 1943, in Fort Pierce, Florida. He was the third of four children to Fred Barrett and Elouise Johnson. Bill was raised in Toledo, Ohio. He attended Gunkel High School. At the age of 20 Bill relocated to Harrisburg, PA with his brother Fred. Bill W. Barttee, 81, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 1, 2024. Bill worked as a roofer and was a warehouse worker. He retired in 2005. He was a devoted husband to Darlene Turner-Barttee for 24 years. Bill attended Reclaim the Streets Ministries where he was a deacon. He enjoyed fishing, reading, watching sports (his favorite team being Ohio State), landscaping, watching westerns and spending time with family and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his son Anthony Scott Weisenford, his daughter Denise Chanel Sullivan, and his siblings Freddy Mae and Fred Barrett. He is survived by his loving wife Darlene Barttee, his children Melissa Weisenford, Tracy Lee (Teon), Kevin Weisenford (Michelle) all of Pennsylvania, and Cherise Sutton (Dwight) of Florida; His sister Peggy Lipscomb of Toledo, OH. Bill also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
