Obituary of Eleanor E. Skiles

Eleanor Elizabeth Skiles, 96, of Harrisburg passed away, Sunday, December 18, 2016 at home where she was lovingly cared for by family and friends. Eleanor was born September 10, 1920 to the late Thomas Samuel and Mary (Weatherwalk) Ringwalski. She was preceded in death by husband, Patrick H. Skiles, brother, Joseph W. Ringwalski, and granddaughters Bobbi-Jo (Raymond) McKorkel and Patty (Raymond) Hall. Eleanor will be remembered as a loving, strong-willed woman; her existence defined by enriching the lives of all of those around her. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be forever missed. Eleanor is survived by two sons; Charles Skiles and Robert Skiles of Hummelstown and three daughters; Regina (Skiles) Barber of Jacksonville, FL, Charlotte (Skiles) Hanson of Harrisburg and Patty Skiles of Newville. She leaves behind grandchildren Brenda (Barber) Herron, Lisa (Barber) Clark, John Hanson, Jr., Thomas Hanson, Michelle Hanson, Julia Hanson, Kerry (Skiles) Rose, Robert Skiles, John Raymond and Cathy (Palmer) Stoneroad and many loved great grandchildren. Viewing will be held December 28, 2016 at the Dailey Funeral Home, Harrisburg from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by funeral service. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Following the service, the family cordially invites all guests to celebrate Eleanor's life at the Linglestown Fire Hall, 5901 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, Pa 17112 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be sent to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org/donate). The Dailey Funeral Home Is Honored To Serve The Skiles Family.
