Obituary of Francis Joseph Bobitz

Francis Joseph Bobitz, 84, of Harrisburg passed away peacefully at home on December 18, 2015. He now gets to celebrate Christmas in Heaven with Jesus and his sweetie. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son to the late Jacob and Tonka Bobitz. He was a retired steelworker who also operated cranes at Lukens Steel.He was also a member of Devonshire Church, Harrisburg. Francis was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Bobitz, and would have celebrated 63 years of marriage on December 13, 2015. Surviving are his children; Eloise Miller (Elvin) of Duncannon and Gloria Leeper (Michael) of Grantville; 2 sisters, Ann Mudrinich and Mary Malinak; 2 brothers, Michael Bobitz and Jacob Bobitz, and 5 grandchildren. He enjoyed the casino, scrapping junk, his vehicles, and most importantly, his family. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, January 5, 2016, from 6PM-7PM at Devonshire Church 5630 Devonshire Rd. Harrisburg PA 17112. Services will begin at 7PM.
