Obituary of Helen M. Behe
Helen M. Behe, age 90, of Colonial Park, died unexpectedly on February 9, 2017 at Holy Spirit Hospital Camp Hill, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Altoona, PA. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Joseph. In addition to her husband she is survived by her four sons: Joseph of Ireland, Michael of Bethlehem, William of Harrisburg, and Jerome of New Hope, and three daughters: Frances of West Chester, Carol of Halifax, and Elizabeth of East Berlin. She is also survived by two sisters, Marion Smithmyer of Baltimore and Elizabeth Schimminger of Altoona. Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia and grandson, Joseph III. She is also survived by 35 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, loving sons and daughters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, February 12th from 2-4 p.m. at Dailey Funeral Home 650 S. 28th Street Harrisburg. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 13th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church, State Street, Harrisburg, where she was a member of the Mater Dei Community. Burial will take place immediately following the funeral at Resurrection Cemetery, West Hanover.
