Obituary of Helen McFarland

Helen McFarland, 91, of Harrisburg passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday July 5, 2015. Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter to the late John and Matilda (O'Neil) Ross. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford D. McFarland. Helen was a 1942 graduate of John Harris High School. Before becoming a homemaker she worked for the PA Civil Service Commission. Helen was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who enjoyed gardening, traveling, bingo and her animals. Surviving are her 4 children; Jackie Millovich, Robert Farner (Holly), John Farner (Joetta), and Tina Lesko (Don); 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Helen was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Harrisburg. Viewings will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 6-8PM and on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 10AM-11AM at the Dailey Funeral Home. Services will begin at 11AM on Friday. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA. The Dailey Funeral Home is honored to serve the McFarland family.
