Obituary of James Coughenour

James C. (Jim, Pop pop) Coughenour Jr., age 60, lost his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on August 20, 2016. He entered into rest surrounded by his loving family. His family thought he was Superman, but he was only human. He was able to give the gift of research on pancreatic cancer through his participation in a clinical trial at John's Hopkins Hospital. He was the son of the Mary Grace (Leberfinger) Taylor and the late James C. Coughenour, Sr. Jim was a manager of several restaurants and Technical Gas. He is survived by his wife Diane L. (Walters) Coughenour, daughters, Tammi L., and husband Jodie R. Anderson of Dover, Tiffany A. Love of Linglestown, brothers, William and Michael both of Florida, Sisters, Irene Watts and Patricia Zimmerman both of Steelton, Theresa Stoner of Colonial Park, Ruthanne Baxley of Florida and his greatest joy and namesake, his grandson, Joseph James Anderson. In addition to his father he was predeceased by a brother Anthony Coughenour. A memorial service will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. at Capital Bible Church, Harrisburg. A visitation will begin at 3 P.M. at the church. The Dailey Funeral Home Is Honored To Serve The Coughenour Family. Jim was a very kind person and he would help a person out if he could and a good neighbor. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
