Frank R. Carelli Sr., age 98, of Harrisburg passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the Middletown Home. Frank was born on June 7, 1922 in Hazleton, PA., and was a son to the late Vito Carelli and Angeline (Barletta) Carelli. Frank served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was the last surviving of his siblings; 6 sisters and 4 brothers. Frank met and married Eleanor B. (Barbush) Carelli who preceded him in death (2012). Frank was retired from a lifelong career in the Federal Government, including Olmsted Air Force Base, Philadelphia Aviation Supply Office, New Cumberland Army Depot, and Mechanicsburg Naval Depot. Surviving are his children; son, Frank R. Carelli Jr. and his wife Chris, daughter Pamela and her husband Richard Peach, grandchildren, Michael and wife Lindy, Daniel and wife Ally, Matthew, Justin and wife Shannon, Nora and Josh Miller, great grandchildren, Edward, Annabelle, Lia, Emmett, Lucy Peach Miller and many nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 10:15 AM.; at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Viewing will be private. Burial with full military honors will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, PA.
