Vanca Santana (Blanca), 57, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. She was born on February 26, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York. Loving mother, sister, and friend. Being able to light up any room with her smile alone, she was a loving mother and mother figure to many also one silly T-Rex grandma. She loved teaching future generations how to be bold and let their little lights shine.

Those who knew her would describe her as Crazy, takes no bull from no one, loving, generous, and selfless. She loved spending time with her family and friends, being the life of the party. In her spare time, she loved listening to music, singing and dancing to oldies and making all types of beautiful art. She also enjoyed any type of Horror movie. She loved to play practical jokes on people. With her strong Christian roots, we know she is soaring through heaven, wings spread.

She is survived by her mother, Matilde of Steelton; three sisters, Guadalupe of New York, Awilda of Grantville, and Grimilda of Puerto Rico; daughter Sheena of Steelton, sons Jonathan of Harrisburg, and Lucas of Pittsburgh; several nieces and nephews, and grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the Humane Society in Harrisburg, PA.
